Research into the origins of individual families in North America revealed records of the immigration of a number of people bearing the name Sperline or a variant listed above: Thomas Sparlin settled in Barbados in 1635; Andreas Sperling settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1767; Peter Sperling, with his wife, three sons, and three daughters, landed in America in 1709.
