Research into the origins of individual families in North America revealed records of the immigration of a number of people bearing the name Hosgoode or a variant listed above: Christopher Osgood who settled in Boston Massachusetts in 1630; along with Elizabeth; John and Mary Osgood settled in New England in 1630; William, Sarah and four children settled in New England in 1648.
