Analysis of immigration records indicates that some of the first North American immigrants bore the name Horsfale or a variant listed above: Luke Horsefall, who sailed to America in 1729; John Horsfall to Philadelphia in 1844; and John Horsfall to Allegheny County, Pennsylvania in 1884.
