Early North American records indicate many people bearing the name Gonell were among those contributors: Alexander, Arthur, Andrew, Francis, George, Henry, John, James, Neil, Patrick, Robert, Thomas and William MacConnell all arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania between 1800 and 1870.
