They branched into many houses, and their contributions were sought by many leaders in their search for power. In 1294 they gave their name to a castle and a village near Crossen. The family had their seat in 1541 at Drewitz, in 1545 at Temnitz near Frankenstein, and 1785 in Jacobsdorf.
