What does the name Peplow mean?

The ancestors of the name Peplow date back to the Anglo-Saxon tribes of Britain. The name is derived from when the Peplow family lived in Peplow a small location found in the county of Shropshire. The surname Peplow was originally derived from the Old English word pyppel which referred to those individuals who lived on the pepple hill.

A new Peplow Hall was built in Georgian times.
