The surname Lunin was first found in Yorkshire at Lund, a village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire in the union of Beverley, Bainton-Beacon division of the wapentake of Harthill. There is also a Lund in Lancashire in the parish of Kirkham, union of the Fylde, hundred of Amounderness but this parish was constituted in 1840.
