One named Ó Flannghaile (d.1395) was the vicar of Skreen, in the barony of Tireragh, County Sligo, which borders on County Mayo. The name appears as O'Flanhill and O'Flanill in the 16th century Tudor Fiants, in Rosserk, County Mayo, and Kilglass, County Sligo.
