Research into the origins of individual families in North America revealed records of the immigration of a number of people bearing the name Bokarte or a variant listed above: Mary Bucket who arrived in Plymouth Massachusetts in 1621; Dorothy Bucket, who arrived in Virginia in 1714; Abraham Bogart, a Loyalist who came to Canada from America in 1796.
