- Pierre Rondot (b. 1904), French Brigadier General, a writer and a journalist, born in Versailles. He was an active officer from 1939 to 1940, the director of studies, then director of the Centre of High Muslim administrative studies which became the Centre of High studies of modern Africa and Asia (1955-1967). He then became professor of the ENA, of the IEP in Grenoble, in Lyon, in Paris, and became the commander of the Legion of honour with a military title, and received the war cross
