Paison History, Family Crest & Coats of ArmsEarly Origins of the Paison familyThe surname Paison was first found in East Lothian, where they held a family seat. Michael of Peaston or Paystoun was the first on record about 1140 and he was probably the Norman noble who joined David, the Earl of Huntingdon's train north when he became King David of Scotland. As was the Norman custom, the second son took the name of the manor or estates, and it may be that the senior line of the family remained in England. Michael's son Richard granted alms to the Church of Soltre from 1180 to 1214. 1 Early History of the Paison familyThis web page shows only a small excerpt of our Paison research.
