Research into passenger and immigration lists has revealed some of the very first Herehopes to arrive in North America: Thomas Harrop who settled in Annapolis Maryland in 1726; James Harrop settled in Boston Massachusetts in 1768; Hugh Harrop settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1834.
