Traditionally part of Herefordshire, it was part of the hundred of Stottesden. Farlow or Fawler is a chapelry, in the parish of Sparsholt, union of Farringdon, hundred of Shrivenham in Berkshire. 3

In an attempt to escape the chaos experienced in England, many English families boarded overcrowded and diseased ships sailing for the shores of North America and other British colonies.
