 Scotland The ancestors of the first family to use the name Dalgliesh lived among the Dalriadan people of ancient Scotland. The name Dalgliesh was given to someone who lived in the ancient lands of Dalgleish on Tima Water, in the parish of Ettrick, in the county of Selkirk, Scotland.
