Migration of the Artiles family

Those who lived to see North American shores were instrumental in the development of the growing nations of Canada and the United States. A thorough examination of passenger and immigration lists has disclosed evidence of many early immigrants of the name Artiles: Arthur, Edward, Henry, James, William Cardell all settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania between 1840 and 1860; James McCardle, also Michael, Owen, Patrick, Philip, Thomas, and James McArdy all settled in Philadelphia between 1840 and 1860. Arthur, Peter, Philip and Mary McCardel settled in Pennsylvania between 1773 and 1845.
