Migration of the Lortel family
Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Robert Lort, who arrived in Pennsylvania in 1684; Thomas Lortan, the son of Edme and Gabrielle Bouffard, who married Marie-Françoise Marmet in Quebec City in 1752.
