Early Origins of the Arborn family

The surname Arborn was first found in Surrey where the family trace their lineage back to Abernon listed in the Domesday Book having sprang from the fief of that name in Normandy. He was a tenant in chief in Surrey, giving name to Stoke Daubernon. 1 Conjecturally, the surname is descended from the tenant of the lands of Guildford and East Mosely, held by Roger de Abernon or Arburnam of Abenon in Calvados, the Norman Baron.
