The Château de Chaumont is a castle in Chaumont-sur-Loire, Loir-et-Cher, France. Founded in the 10th century by Odo I, Count of Blois, it was ordered destroyed by Louis XI, but was rebuilt by Charles I d'Amboise. The castle has been classified as a Monument historique since 1840 by the French Ministry of Culture and survives today as an beautiful and imposing chateau above the River Loire.
