Early Origins of the Tafalla family

The surname Tafalla was first found in the region of Navarre. From there they branched out and founded other houses under the name of Tafalla in the town of Falces, and in Melida and in Loya. In the year 1533, Juan, Pedro and Diego de Tafalla appeared before the Tribunal of Falces, declaring that they were in possession and in fact possessed of the qualities that merit elevation to the nobility, being descended from the old and noble house of Tafalla and they were so confirmed.
