Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Elias Staude who went to North America in 1776 and Justus Staude who followed a year later. Two Johann Staudingers immigrated in 1774; as did Franz Josef Staudinger in 1766. Anton Staudt settled in Saskatchewan, in 1898 or 1899.
