Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Diego De Solis who immigrated to Venezuela in 1534; Francisco De Solis who arrived in Puerto Rico in 1569 with his entire family, and Andres de Solis who came to Peru in 1597 with his wife Maria de la Pena de Solis. Later migrants included Jose Solis who settled in Puerto Rico in 1821.
