Migration of the Sluing family

Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Anna Maria Kunigunda Schling and her husband Henrik, who emigrated from the Palatinate to New York in 1710; Georg Schlingehoff, a Hessian mercenary who settled in Quebec after fighting in the American Revolution, Wilhelm Schling, who came to San Francisco in 1852 with his wife and two children, Henry Dietrich Jacob Schling, who applied for naturalization in Philadelphia in 1862.
