Migration of the Schaers family
Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Theobald Scherer, who arrived in New York in 1709-10; Ulrich Scherer arrived in Philadelphia in 1727; as well as Jacob Scherer in the same year; over fifty more Scherers came to this city between 1720-1750.
