A branch of this family formed and it goes back to Guyon Mouchet, Administrator and Investigating Judge in 1559. The descendants of this branch divided into two main branches. The branch representing the Lords of la Beluze and Vauxelles have brought up members who became a distinguished Attorney, a Lieutenant of the Criminal jurisdiction, a Governor of Saint-Jean-de-Losne, a Captain of Seurre in 1564, a Provost General of the Corps of Marshals of France in Bourgogne, and several soldiers of different ranks.
