Migration of the Lindmann family
Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Jan Lindeman, who came to Germantown, Pennsylvania in 1698; Burckhard Lindeman came to Philadelphia in 1753; and Jacob Lindeman came in 1740. Many bearers of the name Lindemann emigrated to Texas in the 1840s and 1850s, including Johann Lindemann with his wife Eva Ockner and seven children, Heinrich Lindemann, and Andreas Lindemann.
