Early Origins of the Hut family

The surname Hut was first found in Cologne in West Germany, where Wilhelm Hudere held lands in Koeln (Cologne) in the year 1135. Hainrich der Huotter was residing in Langenenslingen, near Sigmaringen as documents for the year 1258 indicate. One Albrecht der Huot was a judge in Rottenburg on the Neckar river in the year 1309 and Lienhard Hutter was ennobled in the year 1530 by King Karl V.
