Migration of the Duardo family
Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Gregorio Duarte who immigrated to Nombre de Dios, Panama in 1535; Diego Duarte who arrived in the Spanish Main in 1577; and Maria Duarte and her family who settled in Cartagena, Colombia in 1593. Later settlers included Joseph Duarte who was naturalized in Savannah, Georgia in 1856.
