Notable amongst the family name in this period was Richard-Michel Des Fossés, born in 1614, he became Benedictine of Saint-Maury, taught philosophy and theology in various monasteries, and produced many excellent students. He then became priest in Saint-Martin of Séez in 1649 and administrator of Saint-Julien of Tours in 1663.
