Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: George Klug, who came to England
and/or America in 1709 at the age of 37 with his wife and child. Nicklas Kluge arrived in Philadelphia in 1738; while August Kluge came to Canada in 1783. Wilhelm Kluge arrived in Texas in 1852.
