Louis worked as an adjutant for M. de Lotbiniere and eventually became a public prosecutor for the King. 1 Jacques Bolduc was a theologian and preacher. He was born in Paris around 1580, and died in the same city in the middle of the 16th century. Throughout the centuries, the family grew, developed and became more and more powerful. Migration of the Boldu familySome of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: M. Bolduc, who was established in Saint-Jacques d'Embrun, in the county of Russel, Ontario. Originally a Parisian, Louis Bolduc married Elizabeth, daughter of Claude Hubert and Isabelle Fontaine, of Saint-Gervais, in Paris. They married in Quebec the 20 August, 1668.
