Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Melchor Avalos and his daughters Maria and Isabel, who immigrated to New Spain in 1555. Sancha and Bernardino De Avalos sailed for Honduras in 1567. Diego, Juan, Alonso, Antonio, Jeronimo, and Domingo De Avalos all settled in Peru in the 1500'.
