Migration of the Vinncone family to the New World and Oceana

Thousands of English families in this era began to emigrate the New World in search of land and freedom from religious and political persecution. Research into passenger and immigration lists has revealed some of the very first Vinncones to arrive in North America: William Vinicomb settled in St. John's Newfoundland in 1753; Mrs. Jean Vinicombe rented a meadow near Maggoty Cove, Newfoundland, in 1796; Richard Vinecum was in Maggoty Cove, Newfoundland, in 1813.
