Migration of the Playfithay family to the New World and Oceana

Although the ocean trips took many lives, those who did get to North America were instrumental in building the necessary groundwork for what would become powerful new nations. Among early immigrants of the Playfithay surname to cross the Atlantic and come to North America were: James Playfair, who settled in Virginia in 1722; Andrew Playfair, who came to Canada in 1817 Charles Playfair William Playfair and Mary Playfair, who all arrived at the port of New York in 1820.
