The Errall family saga is rooted in the people of the Pictish Clan of ancient Scotland. The Errall family lived in the lands of Errol (Arroll) in Perthshire.

Errall Early Origins

The surname Errall was first found in Perthshire (Gaelic: Siorrachd Pheairt) former county in the present day Council Area of Perth and Kinross, located in central Scotland, where they held a family seat in the parish of Errol from whence they get their name. The family is not directly related to the Lords of Errol, who are in fact a part of the Scottish Hay clan.

The Great Migration

The freedom of the North American colonies was enticing, and many Scots left to make the great crossing. Arrall who landed in Baltimore, MD. in 1820; John Arrel landed in Philadelphia PA. in 1848; Arthur Arrell landed in Philadelphia PA. in 1848..
