Passenger and immigration lists have revealed a number of early Irish immigrants bearing the name Castagend: Michael, James, Joseph, Lawrence, Patt, Thomas (three of this name), and William Costigan, who arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania between 1850 and 1870.
