The surname Jouvere was first found in Hampshire where John Joyberd was listed in the Assize Rolls of 1256. Years later, Robert Joyberd was listed in the Subsidy Rolls for Essex in 1327. The name was derived from the Old French names Jaubert, Joubert and Jobert. 1
