Maurice Huon took an oath to the duke in Tréguier in 1437. Their son, René, was a squire and the lord of Kéramédan. The branch Huon de Kermadec, known since the 13th century, was part of the reformations of 1426 and 1534. Pierre Daniel Huet, a prelate and scholar, was born in Caen in 1630 and died in Paris i 1721. Antoine Huet d'Ambrun was a squire and the lord of Ambrun. He married Catherine Le Roux in 1672. 2

Mathurin Huot, born in 1646, son of René and Renée (née Fortier), settled in Canada in the 17th century. After settling in Quebec he married Marie Dutertre, daughter of René and Louise (née Goulet), at Ange-Gardien, Quebec on 25th November 1671. 3
