Jean Germain, born in 1664, son of Jean and Renée of St.Andre in Poitou, travelled from France to Canada in the 17th century. After arriving in the Canadian province of Quebec he married Catherine Baribault, daughter of François and Perinne, at Batiscan on 9th September 1698. 1
