Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Anna Elizabeth who went to New York in 1709; as well as Christian Frolich who went to Philadelphia in 1738. Gottfried Frolich was a mercenary soldier who fought for the British during the American War of Independence and settled in Quebec, in 1778.
