Early Origins of the Plator family

The surname Plator was first found in both Suffolk and Norfolk where the first on record was Thomas Playters of Thorndon in Suffolk. His son, Thomas Playters (died 1479) held Wilborne manor and advowson in Norfolk, Sotterley, and Ugshall manor in Suffolk. He was buried in Sotterley church. Hi son William Playters (died 1512) had a son named Christopher Playters (d. 1547.)
