The lineage of the name Excell begins with the Anglo-Saxon tribes in Britain. It is a result of when they lived in Eckershall, historically in three places: one in the parish of Bradford in the West Riding of Yorkshire, the second in the parish of Blackburn in the county of Lancaster; and the third in a parish in the county of Stafford.
