Early Origins of the D'auber family

The surname D'auber was first found in Yorkshire where the Assize Rolls of 1219 list Hugo Daubur as holding estates there at that time. A few years later, Robert le Daubar was listed in Berkshire in 1221 and later, Nicholas le Doudur was listed in the Assize Rolls of Lancashire in 1260. 1

The name was a medieval trade name for someone who was a plasterer. 2 3
