counter

The word counter simply means opposite but it is used in conjuntion with other terms and can indicate many different things. When describing animals it means that they are facing opposite directions. Counter-changed when describing colors means that they are alternating and opposite on different sides of the lines of partition. And when describing an ordinary it means that it is decorated with battlements or waves, for example, on both edges and not just the upper or outside one.
