chimera

The chimera is a very odd looking creature with the head a breast of a woman, the forepaws of a lion, the body of a goat, the hind-legs of a griffin (the legs of a lion and claws of an eagle) and the tail of a dragon. It is not found in heraldry very often and is not unlike the sphinx in many ways.
