blackamoor
The symbol of a blackamoor, or the head of a black man, was originally borne as a trophy in allusion to deeds of prowess during the crusades. It was probably intended as a sign of the defense of Christianity. The symobol is also referred to as a moor or a saracen.Copyright © 2000 - 2009 Swyrich Corporation, all rights reserved
