Analysis of immigration records indicates that some of the first North American immigrants bore the name Oldland or a variant listed above: Gabriel Holland settled in Virginia in 1623; Edward Holland settled in Virginia in 1637; John Holland settled in Jamaica in 1661; another John Holland settled in Virginia in 1649.
