For many English families, the political and religious disarray that shrouded England made the far away New World an attractive prospect. Labourne, who sailed to Baltimore in 1820; Eugene Laborne, who arrived in San Francisco in 1872; George Labourne, who was on record in Halton County, Ontario, in 1877.
