Some of the first immigrants to cross the Atlantic and come to North America bore the name Kilbane, or a variant listed above: Thomas and his wife Frances Kilborne along with children Margaret, Lydia, Joe, Francis, Elizabeth, Margaret, Mary, George, and Thomas, settled in Boston in 1634.
