Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Ines De Santoyo Pinilla who came to New Spain in 1563 followed by Juan Pinon in 1564; and Juan Del Pino who settled in Nicaragua in 1579. Among later migrants were Andres del Pino, a Spanish solider who came to New Orleans in 1829.
