These Scottish settlers played essential roles in the founding of the United States, and the shaping of contemporary North America. Among them: Richard Casse who settled in Virginia in 1652; William Casse settled in Bermuda in 1635; another William Casse settled in Somers Islands in 1635; Elizabeth and Mary Cassey settled in Annapolis Maryland in 1733.
